It literally kicks the crap out of the 18-270 when it comes to being crisp, as well as any kit lens I have tried. This thing gathers so much light even at comparable apertures to the 18-270, and this being my first fixed aperture lens it is so nice not having to worry about having to change shutter speed because when you zoomed 5mm your f3.5 went to f4 or something. I almost pulled the trigger on a Sigma 18-70 2.8-4 but I really wanted that fixed 2.8 and I'm not at the point skill or money wise to afford the $1800 24-70:frown-new: someday. Anyways when I got home just now all I had time to do before a storm was rolling in was take this shot of a fence next to my place, one at f2.8 the other at f8.</p><p></p><p>[ATTACH]119608[/ATTACH][ATTACH]119609[/ATTACH]</p></blockquote><p></p>
