Message: <blockquote data-quote="Browncoat" data-source="post: 32939" data-attributes="member: 1061">Nice leading lines and perspective.  You thought outside the box and went with portrait orientation here which stretches the trees and emphasizes their height, also good.  The color is also vibrant.However, this image is significantly lacking in the depth department.  There are almost no shadows, and it appears to be flat.  With everything good this photo has going for it, all of that is lost because the final element is missing.  You have a very deep composition here that should totally draw the viewer's eye inward towards the horizon.  We should get the feeling that we're floating down that river surrounded by trees.Nice job.  It just needs a little tweaking by amping up the shadows.</blockquote>
