Super excited!

Well I purchased the D5100 and I love it. I am playing, reading and learning. I hope to post some great pictures soon, not only here but on other photography sites as well. I have ordered a book, and have been reading some e-books I (uh-um) acquired. I am already looking into a new lens and other gadgets, but I will refrain until I learn more about photography and get comfortable with my camera.

I have already got the lens bug and want to buy a AF-S 50mm f/1.8G lense for portraits.

I am already looking into a new lens and other gadgets, but I will refrain until I learn more about photography and get comfortable with my camera.

Listen to your own advise. I wish I had waited a while before I started buying more lenses.

Very expensive lens bug indeed - just narrowly avoided forking out 250 notes for a used 17-55mm f/2.8

I agree with everyone, I need to play with my camera more and learn the kit lens. I will wait until after the first of year before getting another lens.

Please, don't PLAY with your camera, just take pictures with it, lots of them. The only way to learn of all it can do is just, like Nike would say, DO IT.
