BUT.....</p><p></p><p>Take it back to the dealer and be sure to carry a good quality print showing the scratch and tell them the steps you have gone through to trace it to the source. I had a problem with my first D3100 and carrying it prints etc BestBuy just walked back to the shelf and handed me a new one whick a later dropped and broke. D5100 now and am very careful not to drop. </p><p>Good luck and be sure to let us know how it all works out.</p></blockquote><p></p>
