@ Salvatore: Your right it's not the site, and it is a risk of posting images on the internet. Going with a large water mark in my eyes even after having a photo stolen is not the answer. All that is going to do is ruin the photo then everyone is going to suffer. You know at that point why even post it. A well place water mark such as Marcel's is a good deterrent but easily remove in Photoshop. Sorry Marcel, but I still love your watermarks! @ SS381: As for how and why someone should be banned from any site, that is up to the Administration of any site and I sure there is a protocol in place for that so further discussion is pointless.. @Rick M: When it happened to Grandpaw I really felt bad, but when it hits home it's a whole different feeling. I don't wish it on you but if ever happens you'll see what I mean. This is going to make me think twice now what I shot and what I post, I think the damage is done. @ Jdeg: I do watermark my images and keep my EXIF data up to date, but it didn't help in this case. I know there is nothing more you can do and thank you for all you have done. I guess if we choose to share our photos it's a risk we are going to have to take. In our case it appears that action has been taken, and the Administration has gone beyond our site by contacting other sites to inform them of the actions by the said offender. Kudos to the mod's for going above and beyond the call of duty here. That's why they make the big bucks. Thank you for devoting you time to the site. So I guess the question is, keeping in mind there is a good chance it could happen again by anyone. What kind of action can "we" take to prevent it happening again outside of the points we have brought up? I would hope not posting would not be the answer. This is kind of a double post as others have posted while I have been typing this and we bring up some of the same points.
