Spooks!

I have wanted to do this kind of shoot for a long time. I shot Caitlin (the boudoir model from a few weeks ago) in an old cemetery here in town using the F4E and Tri-X film rated at ASA 200 with the 35-70mm f/3.5 AIS (a lens I am really growing to love!) on an overcast early evening. Film is absolutely the right media for this because the barely perceptible grain adds to the spookiness of the image. I shot the scene with and without her and then added her in PS and manipulated the image to appear as though it was in the middle of the night.

Been thinking of trying shots like this myself, but with a 10 stop ND filter and long exposure instead... maybe get a ghostly trail leading up to the subject or something. Definitely fun to work with techniques like this!!!

Love the idea, the materials used (film) and almost all of the execution. :) I wonder if it would look more realistic (a realistic ghost?) if the tombstone to her right was made to look in front of her

The point here was to present her as a melancholy spirit. Either the tombstone to her right is hers or a loved one. She was sitting on the one to the right of the big tombstone.
