I won't know for a week or so whether this polyp was benign or pre-cancerous, although the Dr. was optimistic.
January 22, 2015 This was a quickie shot. I didn't have much time today as I was doing the colonoscopy procedure. I figured I'd get a picture of the bird on our couckoo clock. I had to move fast as I was prepping at the time. In between visits to the can, I squeezed off a picture. My results so far are that they found 1 polyp and didn't have to cauterize it so it must have been small. Last procedure they found two benign polyps and neither was pre-cancerous. Dr. Goodfinger decided I would get scheduled again in 5 years instead of 10 like I was hoping for. I'm glad it's over. I was really thristy this morning, not so much hungry after a liquid diet all day yesterday. I woke up at 4:15 am to start the final flush. The prep is definitely worse than the procedure. I was knocked out cold with the Michael Jackson drug, so I didn't have a clue as to what was going on. Good thing, and I encourage everyone 50 and over to have a colonoscopy. You never know what's going on in there until they scope it. If they catch it in time, and it's cancerous, you stand far better chances of survival. I won't know for a week or so whether this polyp was benign or pre-cancerous, although the Dr. was optimistic.
