After so much trials of different fixes, i've come across a tutorial on youtube of fixing the issue mechanically. Now, its a risky process that if not undertaken cautiously could damage your camera, but if you proceed with caution you'll have nothing to worry about. I did a lot of changing lenses yesterday at an event i was, and the hurry could have made me press the release lens button while mounting my lens which resulted to passing the lock an inch, as sited in the above contributions from different users.
