I used to use B+W CP filters but switched to Hoya for that very reason.</p><p></p><p>After receiving my repaired filter, I sent an email to Hoya asking about their HD3 CP filter. I specifically asked if the mount used is the same as the one on the HD CP filter. I never received a response. So...I really don't want to take a chance on it.</p><p></p><p>The Hoya HD CP filter that was repaired went back into a box. The one that is loose is currently on my 300mm lens. Since I don't take it off, I figured it will last longer on that lens than on a lens where I need to remove it. </p><p></p><p>Good luck with whatever you choose. The B+W is definitely solid except for being a little thin. There is a very slight color difference between the greens/yellows of the Hoya vs. B+W as well as a slight difference between the blues, but those colors get tweaked in Photoshop. Except for the slight difference in colors, B+W is definitely constructed with a higher quality. Good luck with whatever you choose.</p></blockquote><p></p>
