I've been wanting to do this for a while. The move from Verizon to AT&T is saying a lot since I've had my number with Verizon for about 14 years. I had a rare unlimited data plan on Verizon. I don't need it anymore, and they've been selling for a lot lately on ebay. Exactly what I did is outlined here: How-to - Sell your Verizon unlimited data plan & keep your number It ended up being fairly complicated, since I had to port the number back to Verizon after I initially ported it to AT&T because I didn't switch my Verizon account to a new number quickly enough. Verizon swore that I wouldn't be able to do what I wanted, but I did! So, In the end I have an extra $300 (from selling the unlimited data), kept my line, got two new phones (Galaxy S4 & iPhone 5s) for $50 and I'm now paying less per month with AT&T. :)
