Software to crop based on face

I gather from your question that you are looking to automate this process, correct? Or are you just thinking of something that will allow you to easily standardize each image so that the subject looks the same size through out the series? Looking at that video, you can see the author used several tricks to ensure equal sizing throughout the series and at a level of detail that I suspect were all done by hand.

I have used LR to equally crop multiple photos at once by using the "Previous" function so that every image gets the same treatment (tone, crop, size, etc.) as the original standard image. You would then need to go back by hand and re-position each image to get the eyes centered at the proper place but your image sizing would all be the same. However, it would require a lot of image by image work.

Yeah, I would like to automate the cropping and resizing part so that the face and body is in the same position & same size in each picture. Many of the photos are not uniform, or taken at the same distance.

I would end up doing all of them by hand anyway if I used lightroom. Hrm.

Typically when they morph from one face to the next and keep the consistency it is based around having the same size for the eyes. After that everything else follows pretty well.

I have a series of photos I would like to make uniform based on the position and size of the face. The best example is the picture a day videos on youtube: Natalie Time Lapse: Birth to 10 years old in 1 minute 25 sec - YouTube

You'll notice that each pic is centered on the face.

Any ideas?

haha - na, I know there's something out there that can do this automatically

The best thing I could come up with is making each image a separate layer in photoshop, set some guidelines, resize/adjust each layer, then export each layer in a batch process.

Suddenly this has perked my interest as a project.
Would be interested in seeing what other suggestions there are :)
