Message: <blockquote data-quote="snaphappy" data-source="post: 272724" data-attributes="member: 12198"><p>Yes That's true Don.  On the chicken eggs the hens put a whitish coating which is most visible on the brown eggs and it protects the eggs from contamination.  Clean unwashed eggs from properly cared for hens can last a LOOONG time.  I just found 2 duck eggs at the back of my fridge which would have been from Aug last year (7mnths old!) and I cracked them open out on the snow and they were perfectly fine.</p></blockquote><p></p>
