Small or large SD card

I'm using two 32 gig cards in the 7100. And a 16 gig in the 3200. Next time I'm ready to go out I'm taking the slot two 32 gig card out and putting it in the 3200. The 16 gig will then be the over flow on the 7100.

I use two 16GB 45MB cards (one as a overflow). I use a d7100 that creates a 30mb RAW file this gives around 300 pictures per card. I copy pictures to my computer after every day out and then format the cards so I never have a problem with space.

So if you can empty the cards often then go for the smaller cards. I don't see the point of a large card if you are able to do this.

Sounds like you want to keep pictures to hand on your camera, therefore you should go for the largest card you can afford.
Given you've posted in the D3300 forum, you won't need a 2nd card for the 2nd slot, so the choice is yours if you want a backup card.

RAW images are much bigger than jpg's so consider that also when deciding the size you're after.

With regards to backup - copy to another device (PC) often as you can in case of any card failure.

As to finding your pics - I think the D3300 allows you to view by date so that might be the best option to show your pictures if you want to use the camera's LCD screen to do so.
