Scott Murray would be the guy to talk to on that lens. I believe that is the macro lens he uses, and his shots are often awesome! :D

Scott uses Tamron 90mm f/2.8 (me too), but anyway, this Sigma's 90mm is a bit older and of a slightly lower built quality (and no internal motor - you will have AF only on D7000!). Impressions on this lens are quite a mixed bag: Sigma AF 90mm F2.8 Macro A-mount alpha lens reviews

My recommendation - don't buy this lens. Choose among these alternatives: Tamron AF 90mm f:2.8 SP Di macro, Tokina 100mm f:2.8 (manual focus only, but the SUPERB accuracy&sharpness: Tokina 100mm f/2.8 Macro Review)

Yeah as Dragan has stated I use the 90mm Tamron 2.8 and would only recommend this, I have not used the Sigma alternative. There are others out there but I do not have first hand experience.

Ooops sorry Scott Murray. I just remember yours was a 90mm macro, and got the brands mixed up. Lol :)

I'm back on...hoping to be grabbing this today!
After careful research, I find that this is an excellent lens especially that the seller is willing to let me have it for $90.

This will be a good intro to macro/micro for me.
