Hi, I had my first contact, last weekend, with the Contemporary. Marvelous lens. I also tried the Sports version, but that's much to heavy. I took several pics, mostly at 600 mm. _DSC2790 by Ad v.d. Biggelaar, on Flickr I took this pic from at least 400 mtr distance, at 600 mm, with a shutterspeed of 1/80 sec!! Great working OS system. (I was a bit proud of myself ) _DSC2785 by Ad v.d. Biggelaar, on Flickr And I liked this one. The swan nearly was going to attack me, I was quite close (you can't see his/her kids...) But I had one strange thing. Playing with the AF speed from the lens, racing from the beginning towards the end and back. At 150 mm it was stunning fast, both ways. But at 600 mm... From the beginning (2.8 mtr) towards Infinity it was slower (a bit to slow) than from Infinity towards the beginning (2.8 mtr). From that end towards the beginning is was pritty fast, fast enough. Muzza, do you have the same experience? Or others? Please write it here. I think, this lens will be mine in a short period... Ad B
