I would do what Glenn recommended. try to find a used one. mine was used in mint condition with mack warranty on it. when I was shopping for a macro lens, it was down to 3 lenses. the VR, the AFD, and the tokina 100 2.8 which is razor sharp even wide open.</blockquote>
