Shooting crystal brandy snifters

We got a catalog from Cashs of Ireland today, a company that sells fine crystal decanters, snifters, and other glassware. The photography was great, so I tried my hand with the D800 and the Nikon 70-200 2.8. The first thing that you learn is that everything has to be REALLY CLEAN. Also, don't use cold ice tea to simulate brandy because the glass fogs up from the cold liquid. I had planned to test my speedlights and umbrellas in different positions, but in the end I was reasonably happy with the light from overhead. Once I had this shot, I lost interest in trying to get better. Still, it's nowhere close to the end product on display in the catalog. A large softbox would be great, and is obviously what they used. The link to one of the Cashs shot is below mine.

Looks like they have used diffused lighting to the right of the product at an angle slightly higher than the glass.

Great shot and attempt though.

Yes the light is diffused and they have used reflection from a light source from behind - the band at the left of the glass. After looking at the shadows, I think that there are multiple diffused lights
- One light from top slightly to right
- One light from behind the camera
- One lowe power light from the top
