We have a little over 36,000 members who have registered and never posted. I don't think this is unusual, and this message board is pretty small compared to some of the other boards out there. Also, platforms like Facebook have caused many people to abandon message boards. That and life in general keeps people from posting. I belonged to a very active hobby board that lost a good many members thanks to Facebook. Members who were on there for years just quit posting, and people who lived in the same locations started their own groups. I know, I belong to 2 of the local groups and rarely post on that board any longer. Much larger message boards are thriving. Cloudy Nights, for example, is one of the few astronomy boards out there. There are so many people posting on it now that you are lucky to get any attention on a post. One of the boards I belonged to had a bot that cleaned out inactive accounts. People who registered and never bothered to log back on or post got deleted. I have no idea if that is beneficial or not. I like this board. Most people are nice, helpful and supportive, and my posts don't get buried immediately thanks to hundreds of posters. Sometimes I have a problem posting, but not often enough to make me leave the board. Is it a compatibility problem with Safari? I don't know.
