I decided to sell my Medium Format gear so I could free up some money and buy a decent tripod which I really have been wanting for quite a while. So I placed it online on a couple of photography boards and on Craigslist. I marked it down well below retail to make it sell quick and got no bites except for Craigslist. Anyway I had people offering to buy for less than what I had it marked which was several hundred dollars below the prices at KEH or Kohs camera. I finally gave up and got a quote from KEH which ended up being $772 for everything. I just thought by selling it locally and taking a hit I would save some time and trouble in packing it and shipping it off. The truth is it was much easier to just pack it up and ship it off to KEH than it was to keep telling everyone who emailed me that I would not take $150. I was actually shocked to find out KEH paid that much for my old gear because it was way more than I was asking in the first place. I think from now on in the future I will see what they are offering when I decide to sell any old gear as they were quite far and paid the shipping to get the equipment.
