Although I prefer G-Tech and use Raid 1 for my archival material (or Raid 0 for less important stuff). I would never risk my images or files to a drive like this as all drives have a finite lifespan and when they fail, that's pretty much it (unless you want to pay $1k for data recovery). Granted, Seagate is a very good company with good drives so I suppose if I did want to just backup a lot of stuff that wasn't really essential, and I had a few years to transfer it (this is only USB 3.0 so figure how long it would take to transfer 3 GB worth of stuff), this would be it.</p></blockquote><p></p>
