So a week is very fast I think. It takes me between 3 days and 2 weeks to deliver edited pics. how many hours did it take you and how many photos total? I will shoot anywhere from 1200-2000 pics and will heavily filter out pics to around 600 to 1000. if its a must have picture then I include, even if I think it sucks but otherwise, to the archive. if they ask for a specific photo, I might say yes, but only if really necessary, otherwise I say "no thats the ones that came out"
I dont think its fair that I get pressured (always-from clients or photographers I work for) to deliver the pics asap. and the video editors deliver the work a month later (no less) on average. it takes them 9 hours (at most) to edit a movie and me it takes no less than 6 hours for my work. I work slow and im a perfectionist. also, my eyes are very sensitive and cant do editing for more than 2 hours straight. I usually have to break it into a few sessions. so 6 hours and they want it in 3 days and vid editor works 9 hours and delivers after a month. wheres the proportion. from now on, I will tell them up to 2 weeks. I have tons of other stuff I do as well.
