My attempts to capture a bloom along the Blue Ridge Parkway have always met with failure. Two years ago I became aware that a small grove of these trees exist in a Pittsburgh Park. Last year I just missed capturing on of their blossoms. This year i promised myself that i would do so. As the time grew near I took to visiting the grove every two days and finally my persistence paid off.
