I made it out of 1/2" PVC tubing and use a twin sized bedsheet folded in half and sewn as a diffuser. I only did it on three sides so I could use various colors or shades of seamless background paper. Including the sheet, my total expenditures for the light tent was about $25. It is 31 inches cubed. A commercial one which is about 1/4th that size costs 4 times as much.
