Mai, very good question..... The short answer is NO but there is a 'but" attached. 1. When I got started back into photography, I started taking some shots because they were readily available along with factory shots. When I set up my Zenfolio Website.. I had just done a Work Holiday Party and posted the pics in a Client section. I put a private directory and sent the link to our CEO, CFO, Marketing Director, GM and my boss. I asked for permission to use the photos to build a portfolio etc. We had just had brochure and web photos taken by a pro studio. They stated that mine were better than what they just paid big bucks for, agreed to let me use the photos (I do have to protect some proprietary products) and in exchange, they could come to me if they needed photo's. I of course agreed. I have done several jobs for them, usually specific detailed (macro0 shots) on tooling issues to share with customers. 2. I have now made a portfolio of product work, started putting out feelers to friends in NH & MA that I am available to do small product type photos. I have not yet received any pay work but it also is not something people need every day. Since I have a full time job, I would like to do it as a part time endeavor... (until I retire next year!!!) Mai, thanks for the interest and asking the question... I hope this answers it fully. Please note that credit for my ability is a direct result of what I have learned from Nikonites and its helpful members!!! (Plus lots of practice.. Have fun Shooting! Pat in NH
