Robin Williams actor found dead

Depression can hit anybody, from the rich and famous to the man or woman selling burgers at the nearest fast food joint. It's hard to deal with for the person who suffers from it and even the people who's closest to the person. For some, depression is a chronic illness that can't be cured, and can only be treated. It can be a never ending torment, and medications are a balancing act between not working at all and totally sedated. It can take a long time to find that balance and then it's ongoing to keep it balanced. :(

I never paid much attention to him until I found myself stuck in a hotel room with on a business trip with nothing to do. I happened to come across 'Mrs. Doubtfire' on a movie channel and was just amazed at his acting skills. Some years later I watched 'Good Morning Vietnam' and was equally impressed. His mind must have been incredibly sharp.

I lost a very good friend to suicide in college. We'd known each other since the 8th Grade. Like Robin Williams, he too was brilliant. I still think of him often and where life might have otherwise taken him.

Sad day, he will be missed. Spent a many of hours watching him on tv and movies. Still can't believe, sounds like he has struggled for a while. It goes to show you should never judge someone, you just don't about the struggles they have.

"Na-Nu Na-Nu"...... Mork out. (I had to correct the spelling after watching a tribute to him tonight)

for you young-uns you cand find that on YouTube I bet.

Such a shining light, a person who could make almost anyone laugh. The brilliant ones so often suffer from highs and lows, Vincent Van Gogh, Papa Hemingway, Marylyn Monroe. And we are diminished by their passing.

Brilliance ,genius, and depression. I hear it too often. I'm very heartbroken over this. He is sorely missed already. He would just make me smile just seeing his face. Now ,I want to cry when I see his face, we have lost a great one today,

I've experienced so many laughs and tears, warm feelings and dark feelings, all while watching this man on TV and the big screen, and I can honestly say that I feel like I'm now missing a member of the family. Funny, isn't it, how an actor whom we can't even claim to know can be integrated into our lives in such a way that we feel their passing so dearly?

RIP, my friend. I hope you found someplace far more amazing than Ork.

I'm very saddened that depression overcame him. I too, suffer from depresssion and have been on meds for almost 10 years. I have had some pretty serious depressive episodes. I just wished that there was something could be done for those in such angony. RIP Robin. Finally a peaceful rest.
