[QUOTE="Fortkentdad, post: 353142, member: 24285"] Our boat ride may have been in an inflatable but was not quite as exhilarating as "nikonpup's" but we enjoy the peace and quite of a float on a quiet lake. My dear wife won't hear of a gas outboard for our boat - too much noise, not to mention the smell. So we motor along at 5 KM/Hr according to my GPS, pushed along by a 55# Min Kota electric trolling motor. We had the whole lake to ourselves when we we "floated our boat" last month. Did a little duck hunting - but just with the Nikon. No I didn't get any good shots of the birds, need to upgrade my lens for longer shots, something with VR if I'm going to shot birds from a rocking boat I think. We were on Ross Lake, in NE Alberta Canada.
