Right or Left? Bad Eye vs Good Eye!

Left eye,right handed,my father was left handed and though ime not ambidextrous i do favour my left hand for some jobs at work,rifle scope left eye.

I use my right eye unless for some reason there is a problem with it (allergies, sweat dripped into it, dirt got into it). I am also right-handed at everything, and cannot even do most things with my left hand (like pick up a sword in my LARP - I sometimes hit myself with it). I trust that if I had to do anything super crucial like fine focusing with my left eye, it'd also be a problem.

Though now this makes me want to go home and try shooting and manual focusing with my left eye... Maybe make a comparison.

I thought about today, seems I use both eyes (not at once, though), but mostly left. And I'm a right hand kind of person - but as a kid, I used knife and fork as I was a left hand lol. Pretty confused person, hmm.

Right handed, left eye dominant, so I shoot (photos, handguns, and rifles) with my left eye. Funny story: When I was in kindergarten, my teacher thought I was left handed and forced me to write with my left hand. As a result, my parents thought I was left handed for the better part of a year. I even had a baseball glove for my right hand. It wasn't until my dad was getting concerned about how terrible I was at playing catch (proudly wearing my left-handed glove), that we figured out I threw and wrote better with my right hand. I can actually still write legibly with my left hand, although in block letters and pretty slowly.

To determine if you are right eye or left eye dominate-- hold your arm at straight and with the thumb up cover an object with your thumb. Close your left eye while looking at the object. If the object is still covered by your thumb then you are right eye dominate. If the object can be seen with your right eye closed then you are left eye dominate.
Me? I am right eyed dominate and right handed. I shoot both cameras and guns with right eye.

Distance to your object will have a saying, I think. If the object is close to you/your thumb, then it doesnt matter which eye you close, its still not visible.

Or maybe Im just not getting it.
