Personally I don't think there's really any LESS noise, technically speaking (despite the name), it's just spreading out the noise over a longer period of time. Quiet Shutter mode also disables the Auto-focus Confirmation "beep" (if you don't already have it turned off in the menu) so I guess there's that as well.</blockquote>
