I don't have massive amounts of disposable income, buying this camera was probably one of my largest expenses of the year (we actually won the trip to Hawaii so that didn't cost us a penny!) and I don't have the money to sink in to a bunch of lenses and filters. I want to have a good set of basic equipment that will do the job for me. Primarily, what I will be shooting are probably events at church (weddings, baptisms, etc.), family photos, snapshots, and ballgames that I go to. I also love taking pictures of cloud formations and sunsets. I think the two lenses I have will work for me for now, I just want them to be protected for as long as possible, hence my questions about filters once my friend made the suggestion. I think I'll head down to Best Buy and take a look at what they have. Since they aren't going to be something that is interchangeable, I need to keep it simple.
