I took the A7 on our last cruise.....and enjoyed it tremendously....the size of it made it ideal for a vacay. I am waiting on the soon to be released 16-35 wide angle Zeiss lens, which will put me as close as I need to be as having a trinity of zooms. The lenses are expensive, but the sharpness more than makes up for it. Yesterday I was practicing using back button focus, and I was surprised it did so well. I just wished there was a forum like this one to be able to post more. I will post more in the near future in the non-Nikon section. I know the Sony has it's limitations but I'm sure one hurdle it will jump rather quickly will be the fps. There's no need to wait for the mirror to clear before taking a picture. I also love the EVF on the Sony. All being said, I love the reduced size of the FF e mount. I've already paid for the 16-35, and for architecture, it should be great. I have read some reviews on the lens, and while it's not as sharp as the Nikon 14-24 f/2.8, it doesn't have the size limitations either. I also can put a filter on it, which is ordered too. Thanks for asking, and if you have any more questions to ask about the Sony, feel free to ask. I'm not sure if I have answered your question fully.
