Well I thought it was high time I started using some features on LR that are there, one being the Publish service.

Here is one that I just published to FLickr, the good thing about this is that you just drop and drag it into the Flickr section on the right in LR and you already have your presets.

I use publish ALL the time with the smugmug plugin. I create smart galleries in smugmug through LR that look at the flag and folder. Then as I process, they get added - and from time to time, I just push publish now - it uploads while I continue processing.

Nice, I dont have smugmug though so cannot use that feature.

I've been eyeing that feature as well. I upload to SmugMug, flickr and Zenfolio, depending on the purpose. Looks like this is a kick in the pants to take advantage of LR a little more than I have.

I did recently create and print a book for a client on BLURB using LR, that went very well :)

I've got two different Smugmug accounts ... have you seen any way to connect LR to different accounts? I'd like to have most images publish to rocketcowboy.smugmug.com, while still having some more selective images also publish to charlieclemmer.smugmug.com.

Been meaning to try this . The way I do it now, is that I upload to Flickr from whichever folder the image happens to be. Could save a step this way.

Also, dont forget to turn off services you dont use, can't say it helped with performance but if its not needed then it shouldn't run in the LR space.

Could be tricky, but maybe just signout of the publish service. Then log into your other account - messy I know, but I can't think of any other way to do this.

Why do you have 2 smugmug accounts? Are you just greedy???

Greedy? ;) I've had the RocketCowboy online "identity" for awhile, but didn't expect it would make as much sense in a photography context. Could have just renamed it I guess, but then links to old galleries would break.
