Day 316, 2013 - Nissin MARK II Di622 Surprise from the wifey! Because I won my local Scott Kelby photo walk one of the prizes was a year of lens, tripod, and flash rentals. This last weekend I picked up the Nissin MARK II Di622 for a shoot I had scheduled this last weekend. Early on I really liked this flash. Very simple, easy to use, and the flash and the camera communicated and worked so well together that it made things easy. Of course there are "better" flashes available, but it was so easy that I eventually fell in love with this flash. If I needed to make an overriding adjustment to the flash output it couldn't get any simpler than the rocker switch on the back of the flash to bump the power up or down in 0.5 increments. And the off camera flash communications worked without a hiccup. Finally, the built-in fold down diffuser worked well. I can't speak from experience, but from reading online this unit reportedly seems to have power on par with the SB700.
