Day 210, 2013 - Tokina AT-X 116 Pro DX-II 11-16mm f/2.8 My new lens, and most expensive to date, arrived today - Tokina 11-16mm. Before going out to shoot with the lens I called upon a friend to give me some insight on shooting with an ultra ultra wide angle. My friend explained it can be a hard lens to shoot with and when he got started shooting with one he considered getting rid of it until he figured it out. His help is immensely appreciated and I feel like I am on my way to take a bunch of bad photographs before I get the hang of the lens, but I feel like I'm off to a good start. Starting today, I have 14 days to get the hang of this lens before heading off to shoot the Milky Way - the purpose for buying the lens.
