I was in the basement playing with spider webs and sun light, she was at the top of the stairs waiting for me to come back up and was talking to me, just started taking pictures and got lucky I guess. As for the fur, could have more detail in it still had on my new Prime 35 f/1.8 lens. I have had it on for about three weeks now, but I get more detail with her when I use the stock 18-55mm. The foreign contraption your asking about is a hand pump water fountain, somewhat common in the Chicago suburban forest preserves where I originally come from. That's how I know what it is and how it works. The pump handle has been removed for the winter freezing months or the pump itself is broken. The idea is, you or a friend pumps the handle up and down and it pumps water up from the well below. The round thing on the right is a little sink that drains into the second pipe, that drains into the drain at the very bottom of the photo. Where the photo was taken is one of my favorite places to shot Lightning, it is out in the middle of no where about five miles out of town, ok five miles out of my town in any direction is the middle of no where but that is beside the point. The boring flat lands of Illinois lol
