Prints?

I've had my D3200 a couple months now, and to my surprise, I actually have a few shots that I'd like to see on paper and consider for framing/display. Where do you go for prints? Thanks.

Why not just print them yourself? Any halfway decent modern inkjet printer will do just as nice a job on proper photo paper as any of the commercial services.

And you'll have your prints right away, rather than, like Snow White, wistfully sighing “Some day, my prints will come…”

This has brought up some questions. Do those of you who use services like these listed, have your monitors calibrated? Without a calibrated monitor for PP, what do you feel would be a satisfaction rate for having your photos printed using these services? I think you get where I'm coming from and what I am trying to bring out.

Thanks for the input. I'd do my own, but have a pretty entry level printer and have never been satisfied with the quality. It's fine for every day stuff, but not for photos, IMHO.

I don't print enough to justify the cost of a high quality printer, paper and ink. And no, I don't have to wistfully be sighing, because my prints usually show up in a few days from Nations.

depends on size,, mid range printers have come down in price, sometimes you can get bargains, but if you are talking about less than 200 prints, really not worth the investment, and sending out is the way to go. The reason one prints at home is to have better control of the color profile, and tweaks, but,,,

lately, I have been enjoying Adromapix,, printing on metal, or high end paper. so far, been pleased with the results. For Costco, I have done the canvas prints
with success, I have never been that pleased with the local prints, but that might vary from Costco to Costco. I suppose.

I've noted this before.......I know many aren't fans but....I've used Wal Mart and have been happy with the results. You can generally have your print in an hour and you get to see it and approve it before paying. If you aren't happy with the results you don't pay.
