They co-habit with humans quite well and get into clothing, hats, shoes and just any corner of your house. A house I owned some years ago was infested with them and every night (they are nocturnal) I had to do the rounds of the kids bedrooms to catch the ones bungee jumping from the ceiling before putting the kids to bed.
