Day 103 - Riverparks The local riverparks authority has free "bike rental" stations. You use your credit card to put a deposit on a bike, but you're only charged if you don't bring the bike back. Somehow, I let the wife talk me into riding a couple. They're NOT built for 6'4" fat guys, but they made for a couple of cool shots, and I found fun things along the way (after I caught my breath). Mid ride, I had to make sure the shutter speed was WAY up there, as riding uphill into the wind on occasion had me a bit... exhausted. Old bridge next to new bridge. Not quite long enough for a vanishing point shot, but fun. A couple of wisteria blooms we spotted along the trails. I needed a break anyway, so this was a good excuse to stop. "Really, dear, I just want to snap a picture (for 5 minutes)." The riverside is a popular hangout for winter birds. Some, like the shots I posted earlier in this thread, hang out and nest in different areas, but this section of river is only active during the winter months.
