Day 84 - Date Night Well, it all started here... Reuben Rolls for an appetizer, and a split order of fish and chips for dinner, YUM! After dinner, and a couple of full to the rim imperial pints of the "black velvet" (and perhaps a sip or two off of the wife's pint of whatever it was), we decided to take a wee walk down to The Coffee Shop for a rest and a boost. Ok, dessert and a coffee for the wife, a rest and a boost for the other member of our party. ;) The wife got the chocolate raspberry layer cake and some wildly named coffee, while I had a double dirty chai. This is her cake and my chai. Hers came out with a prettier bit o' flourish on top. And a little off center attempt to be artsy. All the while I was pointing the camera around, I was chatting with the barista to see who I had to talk to in order to get some of my pics on the walls. I left with a name to contact in the morning! Not sure why I shot this pic (2+ pints?), but here it is... we were at the side counter, so it was my view between the grinders and the steamer/cup rack. ;) All with the nifty fifty, no flash, but I guess the now always visible EXIF info will tell ya that! (Thanks again @jdeg!) Not bad at all for handheld shots on pint night, and quite respectable for higher ISO shots with the D3100, eh? Also noticed that the -.67 compensation is still present without the flash being on the camera, so gotta figure out what I've done.
