Day 20 - You gonna clean that up? So, along Route 66 between my small town and Tulsa, there's a large metal sculpture of a buffalo. It's actually quite a nice statue, but... well... the artist made it with a lifted tail, which really only happens when they defecate. I have taken to calling it "The very rarely seen Poop-Tail Buffalo!" Anyway, to make a long story longer... I hadn't had the opportunity to shoot anything today, and I've always wanted to get a shot of this sculpture some day. As it was a holiday, I got to skip out a bit earlier than normal, and had the chance to catch a bit of a Poop-tail Profile against the sunset, and being as how rush hour was much less "rushy" today than normal, it was easy to pull over and take the shot! It's not exactly a perfect side view, so you can't see the full glory of the poop tail itself in action, but that's the price you pay to catch the glow of the sunset in just the right spot... I promise I'll get a different shot soon so you can share in our (laughing) pride! Basic LR5 edits only, with a bit of crop and straightening. Just for laughs, here was the first snap I tried to get... can't even put this in the "Almost" thread, as it was just a bust. If ya look real close, you can see the sculpture back in behind this fast moving service truck...
