Pre wedding shoot

Took an awesome couple out for a free pre wedding shoot yesterday afternoon, they were heaps of fun to work with and I think that shines through in their pics... just thought I would share a few faves of mine...


Shot with either the 24-70 f2.8 or the 200 f2 and processed in Lightroom with the odd VSCO preset

yeah he had been grabbing her [cough] boob [cough] in other shots so she felt it necessary to get even... :)

Great shots! How did you get them to behave so naturally?

Is it all natural light or did you use a fill-in flash in some of the pictures?

These are all natural light. we went out about an hour before dusk so the light was really nice.

As far as acting natural - that's the hardest bit of being a wedding / portrait photographer.

I have a bit of a pep talk I give people before we start, I encourage them to just relax and be silly, it is all fun. I am also always talking to them while shooting, asking them questions about how they met, first date, best date, funniest moment, when you knew you loved each other, how he proposed etc too while shooting so they relive some cool memories and their expressions and such reflect that.

I don't know why my exif data doesn't come through... but all are shot wide open (ie f2.8 or f2) depending on which camera I was using and ISO was varying between 200 up to 800 for some of the shots in darker area's
