Thank you Chuck and Merry Christmas to everyone here at our little railroad junction in Nikonites. After 30 Years, I've decided to scrap my model railroad and build a new one. As such, I'm slowly taking things down. Reminiscent of the Central Railroad of New Jersey's March 31, 1972 ‘Funeral Train’ is this scene, as the last cars on the line are gathered up for a final run and line closure. The real CNJ train was led by a single locomotive like these and included a motley collection of cars collected from their lines in PA as they exited the state for the final time and retreated to NJ. I painted these units in CNJ Deep Sea Green with striping many years ago.
