Although they have 4 pairs of legs,  the pedipalps on most look like another set of legs so it looks like they have 5 pairs. I love to watch them move about with one exception; the Brown Recluse. With all my years in the Infantry, sleeping on the ground, that was the only thing I feared because their bites could inflict a very serious wound. Whenever I saw one, which was not all that often, I used to stomp them into a pile of goo.</blockquote>
