Sitting in a new restaurant/club last weekend a girl came over to ask if I would take her photo on her phone. "sure, if I can figure out how to use it" The light was mixed source and dim so the photo did not turn out that good so I pulled my D800 with a 70-200 2.8 mounted and set one light off camera triggered with RF controllers and snapped 1 frame. It is amazing how many people I have met and become friends by having a camera that looks a bit more serious than a point and shoot. I sent her the photo and she called this evening asking if I would do more photos. I agreed after the new years holidays for studio shots because I suggested full length since she has a great fashion model like, tall, slim graceful figure. There is no sense building a studio since you can rent a very well equipped studio with ProFoto strobes, and choices of room decor scenes or just bare rooms with backdrops, dressing and makeup/stylist station for about $25/hour, with about 150 available around the city. D800, f/2.8 180mm on 70-200, ISO 200, 1/200 The same evening I took a photo of two friends who dropped by the new place. I met them a year ago the same way, having a camera which appeared to be serious and people...girls...introduce themselves and ask for photos
