so decided to take my WASP Action cam out on the kayak Rigged up the clamp and off I went. But had to be able to reach the shutter button so brought it closer (kayak has this rail thing for attachments) Big BUT - while I could reach it to activate the shutter when I paddled I wacked the camera with the paddle and blub blub blub down it went into the lake. I thought the waterproof plastic case it was in would float - nope. It was a goner. While I liked my WASP cam and it was Christmas gift (from about 2010) from my dear wife - I found on line that I could replace it for under $75 with a newer model. But why replace it with similar one that would require touching the unit to activate the shutter? When I can upgrade to the latest and greatest in action cams (at least according to some) Then I learned that the GoPro 6 has voice activation - oh now I 'needed' to rush out to Best Buy and get me one of these new fancy gizmos. Which is what I did. Today's special - a free "chesty" camera mount strap and free second battery. Also bought a real floaty thingy, not losing this one. A few sheckles more than $75. Both these images taken with my other waterproof camera, a Nikon Coolpix AW110 I did consider the Nikon action cam - not going there. And considered upgrading this older AW110 to the 300 but didn't think the improvements over the AW110 are not worth the $500+ cost. (which was about cost of the GoPro6) ..
