This thread is addicting, isn't it?! ;) Did you come here to see what someone bought or to see whose money got taken? :loyal: Last summer I purchased a Nikon 300mm f/4 AF-S lens which I love; however, I struggle with its weight especially since I have both trigger finger and trigger thumb in my right hand (and previously had surgery for tennis elbow in my right arm). And without VR, that can sometimes make it difficult to get the shot. So I've been keeping watch of the Nikon 300mm f/4 PF with VR. A seller on Amazon had one listed in like new condition. He only had 24 ratings (at 100%), but when reading the comments from buyers, it seems he was only selling photography gear. He was exceptional with answering my questions, and the price was terrific. I took the chance. This afternoon I scrutinized (meaning pixel peeped) images taken with both lenses. The PF edged out my original lens when pixel peeping but only by a hair. The weight is MUCH easier to handle plus the PF isn't nearly as long. Here's a sample taken a couple of days ago.
