Stopped into a antique & collectible shop and found this 50mm AF 1.8 Nikkor. No "D" just AF. From what I've read one of the early copies as the originals were made in Japan in 1986 - sometime before they ended production in 2001 they moved production to China. This is a Japanese one. The case is not the original - it's a Pentax Macro 100 case. But it fits and was included. Dropped all of $25 on this lens. Tried it out on the D610 - works fine. Shot of the burlap bag was sample image - nice and sharp. I did get the "EE" error first time I mounted it but if I turn the aperture ring all the way and remounted it and it works, had similar issue with my old AFD 50mm. I think it should lock in place but have not figured out how to do that. I think the little button with the orange dot locks it but cannot get it to move. Will need to fiddle with it a bit more, and clean it up better too. Sometimes small is good. I love my 1.4 Siggy Art 50mm but it is several times larger
