A couple months ago I purchased Vanguard AltaPro 264. Shortly after that I bought a Gimbal from @Bill16 at a good price. Love the Gimble and it works great with my Nikon 200-500 f/5.6 lens, but it is a bit to heavy for just photos with the camera and smaller lens. It works, but it is just a bit awkward. It is also a hassle to change back to the ball head because of the way the Gimble is mounted. I got thinking about my dilemma and realized the tripod center column is removable. So I contacted Vanguard and asked if I could by an additional Center Column. They said sure... $20, which included freight, and they would set me up. I was talking to Bill about my plan and that I wished I had a better ball head to use. The one that came with the tripod is okay, but it slips. He happened to have a used ARCA Swiss B1 that he was willing to part with. So now I have one column with a Gimbal Head and another with a Ball Head, and I have to thank my good friend Bill for helping me out with the heads I needed to make for a sturdy setup. Just made life a lot easier for me at what I feel is a fair price.
