[QUOTE="480sparky, post: 428036, member: 15805"] Having got back into a darkroom proper, I find myself 'stocking' up on darkroom gear. The enlarger I obtained came with one lens (50mm Nikkor), which is fine for 35mm. But I needed something longer for medium format. So it didn't take me too long to find a 100mm. Problem was, I only had one lens board (and it was home-made no less!), and the 100mm I had purchased didn't come with a locking ring. And locking rings must be made with gold these days. So it's a hassle to swap lenses at this point. Last week, I stumbled across the same 100mm lens on ebay, listed as having 'haze/fungus' issues. So the Buy-It-Now price was $16 w/shipping. So I bought it right away, as it came with a OEM lensboard (with light pipe, no less) and the locking ring. Heck, the big-box stores out east want $40 just for a locking ring, and think $60 is cheap for a lensboard! So they show up yesterday. I take a quick look at the lens.... yep, hazy and the coatings are separating. Pull it off and put the Nikkor 50 on the (looks like new) board and toss the hazy lens in a drawer for spare parts.
