After looking though the AF-D lenses, I felt the AI version would be a better bet for me for now. The AF-D lenses seemed to look cheap in comparison to the AF-S version, and I wanted to get the lens that would fit my future plans to go to full frame Nikon. I figure later once I have a full frame Nikon I can decide what lenses I need to be AF and buy them then. So MF lens seemed the best choice for me for now anyway!
