One of the features of June Week (now called Commissioning Week) was a Blue Angels air show that was performed over the river on a weekday. Everybody who was able, gathered on the roof of the tallest building on the lab's grounds to watch. The most memorable show for me was in the early '70s. The team was flying the F-4 Phantom. I swear they made a couple of passes at such a low altitude, it seemed like you could look directly down at the pilot in the cockpit.</p></blockquote><p></p>
